Multiple openings on multiple shifts immediately available.

Compensation: Up to $50/hour plus overtime (10 hours weekly is available) 11 paid holidays, multiple weeks PTO, and full healthcare benefits.

Location: Kent, WA and Merritt Island, Florida. These positions are 100% onsite at a space rocket facilities with no possibility of remote or work-from-home.

Positions are 6-24 month contract-to-hire opportunities with high possibility to convert to FTE.

Responsibilities:

Inspect material per inspection plan such as dimensions, part marking and traceability.

Review all supplied documentation for hardware acceptance per engineering requirements.

Perform review of first articles and conduct receiving inspections.

Provide feedback to engineers and buyers with dimensional data.

Document, track, and complete discrepancy reports.

Provide inspection time estimates.

Assist with maintaining and tracking all inspection equipment calibrations.

Contribute to process improvements.

Maintain configuration control on files and job records.

Safely work within an industrial environment.

Qualifications:

Ability to support B shift occasionally- 3:00 pm-1:30 am

A minimum of 7 years experience in receiving or dimensional inspection of aerospace components.

Intermediate/ Expert GD&T comprehension per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.

Excellent communication skills.

Fluent in the use of precision hand tools, gages, optical comparator, and surface plate work.

Ability to select the correct tool for the inspection task

Familiar with the use of personal computers.

Self-motivation and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates

Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
