Pharmacy Technician

SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for its client in the Columbus, OH area. This individual would be responsible for various tasks, including assisting pharmacists in drug preparation and distribution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supporting pharmacists in all phases of drug preparation and distribution.

• Ensuring the upkeep of drug boxes and crash carts.

• Ensuring the swift and precise preparation of patient-specific drug orders, ready for final inspection by pharmacists.

• Conducting comprehensive interviews with patients and their families to ascertain their current medication regimens.

• Conducting rigorous quality assessments on tasks completed by pharmacy technicians or supporting personnel to streamline distribution operations, allowing professional staff more time for clinical care.

• Replenishing drug boxes and crash carts sourced from various patient care areas throughout the hospital.

• Contributing to the development and delivery of educational programs on distribution and automation systems for healthcare providers.

• Assisting in pharmaceutical inventory management, collaborating closely with purchasing staff to maintain optimal inventory levels and mitigate stock shortages.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio or eligibility.

• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions and teamwork.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks effectively.

• Proficiency in computer applications related to pharmaceutical care.
