Unified Communications Engineer

The Unified Communications Engineer will support the Unified Communications function within the wider End User and Network team. The primary goal of the role is to be responsible for operational/level 3 support of Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, Microsoft Teams Meeting Rooms and voice infrastructure.

The Unified Communications Engineer will also work closely with the architecture teams to support them with designing solutions and the engineer will ultimately be responsible for implementing solutions and supporting projects.

Your accountabilities:

Support and maintain the global Microsoft Teams platform including telephony via Direct Routing and Microsoft Teams Meeting Room technologies.

Support and maintain the voice infrastructure including AudioCodes SBCs and Mediapacks and other SIP third party integrated systems including DECT systems, Contact Centre as a Service solutions etc and support and maintain IP phone deployments.

As a UC SME, collaborate with architecture teams on the design of telecoms and meeting room setup/requirements for offices and projects globally.

Participate in 3rd line incident troubleshooting and service request fulfilment within SLAs and work with 3rd party vendors to escalate and manage incidents.

Ensure documentation is maintained, kept up to date and knowledge shared with colleagues.

Ability to work flexible working hours to support a global, multi-time zone customer base, participate in major incidents and be part of the on-call rota.

Requirements for the role:

Experience of maintaining and configuring Microsoft Teams for multi-national organisations.

Experience of maintaining, configuring and troubleshooting Teams Direct Routing, AudioCodes SBCs, Mediapacks, SIP logs, third party integrations to the SBCs, Contact Centre as a Service Solutions (Luware) and IP Phone Deployments.

Experiencing designing, implementing, configuring Microsoft Teams Direct Routing for multi-national organisations.

Experience designing, implementing, supporting, managing and configuring Microsoft Teams Meeting Room Systems.

Experience using PowerShell and creating scripts.

Certifications - Microsoft MS-700 and MS-721, AudioCodes Certified Associate or higher and ITIL qualifications.
