Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader

A full-service lawn and landscaping company with an exceptional reputation, servicing the Galena, Ohio area.

About the job:

The Lawn & Landscaping Crew Leader provides quality service in a safe and efficient manner, by effectively managing and leading the performance of a 1-4 person crew.

Essential job functions:

Report at designated start time to review the schedule / route

Operate commercial lawn maintenance equipment including mowers and handheld

equipment

Perform services including:

• Mowing

• Spring and fall clean ups

• Shrub trimming and pruning

• Soil prep and flower installation • Shrub and tree installation

• Bed edging and mulching

Load and unload equipment onto trucks and trailers

Maintain clean trucks and equipment

Perform general equipment maintenance

Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned

Assign work to crew members

Train and develop crew members

Assure all crew members are using equipment safely and efficiently

Assure crew members are adhering to uniform dress code

Organize and manage the delivery of work in a manner to achieve budgeted hours for each function, without compromising quality or safety standards

Requirements:

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Carry 20 pound backpack blower on your back

Walk for long periods of time

Stand, bend, and squat for 10 hours or more per day

Able to work overtime and some weekends

Able to comprehend and utilize company’s mobile time entry software • Able to represent the company in a professional manner

Compensation:

Hourly
