Golden Glow Architectural Studios is a professional design services corporation that provides building code and zoning analysis, per-construction services, tenant protection plans and drafting services in New York City. We provide our clients with in-depth analyses and conduct phased plan reviews from schematic design through construction documents.

Responsibilities
Ensuring overall design intent of the project team is incorporated into the detailed documentation.
Monitors the design process from conceptual phase through construction administration, ensuring the design idea is consistent and properly executed.
Preparing Façade Repair Drawings, both individually and with the assistance of our drafting team, as scheduling and company workload requires
Plans and develops projects of various sizes and works under supervision
Investigates, evaluates, and recommends design solutions, prioritizes work, receives guidance on complex issues
Assisting the owner with bid, negotiation, and award of contractors: (1) façade repair, sidewalk shed and adjacent property protection contractors; and (2) where we are contracted as the Construction Manager on non-LL11 projects.
Participates in construction administration by reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFI’s, working to solve construction issues, and performing site visits to assess general conformance with the design concept
Strong drafting skills -able to self-perform and guide staff junior architects in the production of construction documents
Familiarity with NYC agencies having jurisdiction – primarily DOB, FDNY, DOT, DPR and DCP, assist in building code and zoning reviews when needed.
Assists with marketing and business development activities
Coordinating the work of junior professionals and technicians
Consistently reviews work and communicate needs and concerns to project staff.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Architecture registration required.
Strong interpersonal, customer service, writing, and communication skills.
Good understanding of construction, building codes and zoning
Experience in architecture including project and construction documentation.
Ability to work on multiple, fast-paced projects and documents.
Experienced in Revit and AutoCAD software
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, and Blue Beam
