Pricing Analyst II Remote

Job Purpose

The Pricing Analyst is pivotal in advancing Beacon's strategic goals through detailed analytics and comprehensive business reviews. This role demands active collaboration with various teams including Pricing Directors, Branch and District Managers, the Costing team, and other essential departments to provide critical insights and achieve tangible outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize internal systems such as Mincron & PriceFX for data extraction and analysis to inform pricing strategies.

• Engage with Branch and District Managers to collect specific market data.

• Aid the branch and sales teams in the comprehension and implementation of established pricing processes.

• Work with the Supply Chain department to facilitate the prompt integration of cost adjustments into our systems.

• Monitor and report on key performance metrics related to pricing.

• Generate routine reports to support strategic pricing initiatives.

• Conduct analyses to understand pricing dynamics across different products, identifying opportunities for revenue enhancement and addressing profit margin issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or other related field of study

• 3+ years related work experience

• A proactive mindset, capable of working autonomously as well as part of a team

• Strong technical skills and proficiency in pricing software and systems, such as ERP systems or pricing management platforms.

• Solid understanding of data management principles, data entry, and data quality assurance.

• Experience with training and user support, including developing training materials and conducting training sessions.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle large volumes of data accurately.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot system issues and data discrepancies.

• Proficient in analyzing complex data sets to derive meaningful insights.

• Familiarity with analytical tools such as Tableau, Microsoft BI, Python, or Alteryx is advantageous.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong organizational skills, with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working conditions

• Minimal travel requirements as needed for business purposes

• Work assignments may be completed remotely and/or available company offices/branches within respective markets
