Job Description
We are seeking a License: LCSW, LPCC-F, or LMFT issued by California State BBS or registration with the BBS as an Associate (license eligible professional) to join our team!
Duties and Responsibilities
Crisis Intervention certification required (may be acquired within 90 days of employment).
Training in trauma-focused and/or trauma-informed psychotherapy is preferred.
Interview individuals, couples, families, and other involved persons to gather personal and social data relevant to assessing psychological (mental, behavioral, and emotional disorders)
Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments on individuals
Develop person-centered, strength-based treatment plans
Coordinate care with other staff members and community agencies
Provide psychoeducation to individuals, families, and groups
Assist individuals, and families in understanding and choosing options for mental health treatment
Initiate and conduct individual and group therapy sessions
Perform specialized tasks, including involuntary hospitalization procedures (5150) and Tarasoff assessments
Prepare reports and compose correspondence
Act as a case consultant to other clinical therapists and other departmental staff
Coordinate clinical decisions in response to operational demands
Perform crisis intervention during scheduled work hours and on-call
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, healthcare, or another related field; master’s degree a plus
Current state license
Previous experience professional social work experience
Must have transportation available to travel to meet with clients
Self-directed and able to work without supervision
Bilingual - Spanish/English
