Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic CAD Team Lead to join our team and drive excellence in CAD design processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in CAD design, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of space technology. As the CAD Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation and modification of CAD designs, ensuring accuracy, adherence to standards, and timely delivery. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop best practices, provide technical support, and mentor team members to achieve project objectives effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of CAD designers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

Oversee the creation and modification of CAD designs, ensuring accuracy, adherence to standards, and timely delivery.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and translate them into CAD designs.

Develop and implement best practices and standards for CAD design processes to optimize productivity and quality.

Review and approve CAD drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to resolve complex CAD design issues.

Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to team members to foster their professional development.

Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as necessary to support project requirements.

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in CAD design to continuously improve team performance and capabilities.

Act as a liaison between the CAD team and other departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.

Minimum7 years of experience in CAD design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) and PLM tools.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in product development is highly preferred.
