Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
BSc, B. Eng or BTech qualification in Civil Engineering with 5 -7 years post qualification graduate experience and at least 3 years experience in housing developments
Experience in construction monitoring and site supervision of contract work within a civil / building environment
Experience in project management especially in civil/building environment
Good knowledge of / experience in built environment, housing development processes, statutory processes, government policies/procedures and housing
Experience in leading and managing teams
Experience in compilation and submission of tenders / proposals
Professionally registered with ECSA as a Pr Eng / Technologist or in process thereof
Professionally registered as a Professional Construction Project Manager or in process thereof
MS Projects / Primavera experience preferable
Limited duration contract
Strong communication skills and experience with both public & private sectors
Valid drivers, own vehicle and willing to travelThe successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
Oversee multiple projects and management cost, quality, scheduling & technical matters
Project management
Contract administration
Site monitoring and reporting
Implement engineers quality control plan
Site audits; measurement and certification of completed work
Regular site meetings and issuing of instructions
Compiling reports
Maintain external stakeholder relationships
Management of service providers
Provide technical advice and ensure compliance with all legislation
Ability to budget and maximize sustainable revenue streams
