Lead Software Engineer (Python – Azure – Front Office Investment Management)

Hybrid (3 days in office) Chicago Loop

Full Relocation

Base Salary 150k - 200k + 25% bonus

Responsibilities Overview

Architect, Design & Develop

Investment Management Trading & OMS, EMS, etc.

Proprietary Systems & Vendor Integrations

New Development, Migrations & Transformation

Lead projects and drive to completion

Front office stakeholder collaboration

Develop and support OMS across asset classes (primarily Equity, some Fixed Income)

Major Projects

Implementation of State Street Alpha

Cloud Transformation of legacy and current environment, systems, platforms, applications, etc.

All new work is cloud native

There is a lot to do, and this position provides the flexibility to do other work of your choosing.

Skills & Experience

7 years enterprise design and development

3 years Investment Management (or similar) including Investment platforms (OMS, TCA, Trade Order Ops, etc.)

Charles River IMS is ideal; however, other platforms will suffice.

EMS (Portware or similar)

Azure (Migration to Azure and New Development in Azure)

Python

SQL, data pipeline development

Snowflake, Databricks (helpful but not required)

Java, C# (helpful but not required)

Bachelors / Masters in CS or similar is ideal

Experience with API design, messaging, and web application development
