We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Sales Development Representative (SDR) Intern to join our dynamic sales team. Job Description:

This internship offers a valuable opportunity for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in sales, fiber optic connectivity and business development within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work closely with our sales team to generate leads, qualify prospects, and contribute to the growth of our customer base.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation: Research and identify potential leads through various channels including online research, social media, and industry events. Use prospecting tools and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified leads for the sales team.

2. Engagement Outreach: Attend local industry expo’s, conferences, and social networking events. Conduct outbound sales activities such as cold calling, emailing, and social selling to engage with prospects and introduce them to our products or services. Craft personalized messaging to capture the interest of our target accounts.

3. Qualification: Qualify leads based on predefined criteria including budget, authority, need, and timeline (BANT). Conduct initial discovery calls to understand prospect needs and assess fit for our solutions.

4. Follow-up: Maintain regular follow-up communication with prospects to nurture relationships and move them through the sales funnel. Coordinate with the sales team to schedule meetings, capability reviews, or further discussions as needed.

5. Data Management: Enter and update prospect information accurately in the CRM system. Ensure that all relevant details and interactions are recorded for future reference and reporting.

6. Sales Support: Assist the sales team in preparing for meetings and presentations by providing background information, research insights, and supporting materials. Collaborate with internal teams to address prospect questions or concerns.

7. Market Intelligence Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and customer challenges. Gather feedback from prospects to identify market needs and opportunities for product enhancement or expansion.

8. Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and refine lead generation strategies and messaging. Provide feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness to optimize results.

9. Performance Tracking: Track and analyze key performance metrics related to lead generation, prospect engagement, and conversion rates. Prepare reports and dashboards to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.

10. Appointment Setting: Schedule qualified meetings for the sales team. Coordinate calendars and logistics to ensure seamless scheduling and follow-up.

Requirements:

1. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Telecommunications, Engineering, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively to prospects.

3. Proactive attitude with a desire to learn and succeed in a sales-oriented role. Comfortable with outbound prospecting and engaging with new contacts.

4. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

5. Ability and flexibility to travel to conferences, social networking events and client locations as needed.

6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.

7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus.

8. Previous experience in sales, customer service, or telemarketing is beneficial but not required.

9. Willingness to adapt to feedback and continuously improve performance based on best practices and insights gained from experience.
