Oracle DBA

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite).

Type of hire: Direct W2

Rate: $75/hr on W2

Position: Oracle DBA Consultant

Key Skills:

Oracle DBA expertise, including recent versions from 11g-19c.

Oracle RAC experience

Linux OS proficiency (from DBA perspective – not required to be a Linux Administrator)

Oracle Partitioning expertise (for tuning purposes as well as for data purging and exchange)

Oracle Query Tuning expertise

Working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL

Familiarity with at least one ETL tool and their methods and effects on databases. Client uses Informatica.

English Language Communications Skills – both verbal and written

Autonomous Work Capability – Once you’ve acclimated, you’ll largely be driving your own work stream, under minimal supervision with broad objectives and a set of standards as your guide.

Ability to work with other teams – You’ll be working on databases that support applications owned by other teams. These databases are owned by IT, but support business.

Ability to work within defined boundaries – Client has strict policies for security access controls, change management, and configuration management. We all follow those, and you’ll need to be willing as well.
