System Test Engineer

Salary: 80,300 - 90,100

PCTEL - Germantown, Maryland location, is seeking a System Test Engineer to test and validate product and system performance against requirements prior to commercial release. We offer generous benefits and competitive base pay.

Selected candidate will perform the following:

Perform Product Validation from a customer perspective for new products and features

Develop test strategies, requirements, plans, procedures and test cases for feature validation

Execute test cases, including customer applications when available, in labs and/or at field sites, and verifies RF data accuracy

Write defect reports and enter into defect tracking system as necessary; verifies fixes

Contribute domain knowledge and experience to enhance product functionality, usability, and quality

Support PCTEL’s product development team by providing customer-centric feedback concerning the features and performance of PCTEL’s products

Work with minimum supervision

Work with Technical Support, and directly with customers, to investigate customer issues and integration thru analysis and experience

Work effectively as a team member with Engineering, Technical Support, and Quality

Educational/Training Requirements:

Associates degree in Electrical/Electronics or related field, or equivalent practical experience

Minimum 5 years related-work experience

Intermediate experience with testing and troubleshooting P25 public safety networks

Experience in testing and troubleshooting cellular networks, such as 5GNR, FD-LTE, TD-LTE, and W-CDMA a plus

Experience using wireless network data collection equipment such TEMS Investigation, Keysight Nemo Outdoor and Accuver XCAL a plus

Intermediate experience with the following:

Using post-processing tools such as Actix, Accuver XCAP and Gladiator, and RFoptimization a plus

Experience using PCTEL Test & Measurement products a plus

Verbal and written communication skills in the English language

Skills in problem identification, investigation, and issue resolution

Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Customer-facing situations and presentations

Interacting cross-functionally with various departments, especially Product Management, Engineering & Technical Support
