Job Description Summary:What you need to know about the role-

The Cross Functional Credit Risk team focuses on analytics and projects that impact credit risk across our credit portfolios. We utilize a variety of internal and external data sources to provide insights into emerging risks and recommendations on cross strategy alignments. We are also responsible for driving projects that require coordination across the credit and operational risk organization. Our goal is to provide meaningful, actionable insights into credit risk to be utilized by all levels of the organization and ensure credit risk has the tools needed to be successful.

Meet our team-

The Cross Functional Credit Risk organization is looking for a Data Scientist to join our team. The role will be responsible for managing our business intelligence reporting pipeline, collaborating with external vendors to bring industry insights in house and incorporate into our analysis, monitor external sources to provide regular updates on developments that may impact credit risk, and provide content for key business routines. The role will also be responsible for the continual improvement of all the routines and processes outlined.

Your day to day

In your day to day role you will

Work closely with our larger team and BI partners to ensure tools developed meet the business needs.

Update and continuously improve reporting packages that provide insights to leadership.

Assist in onboarding vendor data and incorporating that data into regular insights.

Monitor external environment and develop routines to bring any risks to the forefront.

What do you need to bring-

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Finance, Economics or related quantitative discipline.

Prior experience in lending, credit risk management, or related field.

4+ years post-college working experience within a data-mining, quantitative research or analytics organization.

Must be an intuitive, organized analytical thinker, with the ability to perform detailed analysis.

Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills a must including the ability to explain and/or present analysis.

Must have good business judgment with demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically.

Aptitude and willingness to roll-up the sleeves and get involved in the details.

Proficiency in SAS, Python and SQL.

Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency
