Manufacturing Machine Operator

Job Description

Jamestown Plastics has openings for a Manufacturing Machine Operator.

Depending on customer demands, this position will float between different operations on different machines.

Playing an important part of the daily operation at Jamestown Plastics production line(s), you will be responsible for producing accurate and quality assembly parts and finished products safely, efficiently, and effectively.

Experience as a Machine Operator, knowledge of production procedures, and analytical skills are preferred; however, some internal and external training may be available to qualified candidates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, JOB DUTIES and COMPETENCIES:

Safely and efficiently operating machinery

Productivity/quality / continuous improvement

Basic troubleshooting

Read/understand some drawings

Verify gauges

Knowledge of quality standards

Verify production/disposition

Housekeeping/safety

Follow policies/procedures

Follow work instructions/procedures

Record daily production/scrap

Ability to take notes for future reference

Participate in best practices

Ability to correctly inspect tooling

Familiar with environmental standards

Operate as a team player, working and communicating well with others while promoting teamwork throughout the shop
