Job Description

The Head of Communications & PR serves as primary media spokesperson and steward of the company's reputation. You will lead a team that supports the development and execution of public relations strategies including earned media, crisis communications, corporate initiatives, executive speaking engagements, and interview opportunities. Other responsibilities include management of all content, material and assets geared towards media and community relations executed across multiple channels.Your Tasks – Paint the world green

BUILDING AND PROTECTING FLIX NA's REPUTATION WITH IT BRANDS FLIXBUS AND GREYHOUND via:

Creating and executing a consistent local PR & Communication strategy aligned with the global communication strategy and the global and local company business goals

Implementing a 360 and thought leadership approach into the communication planning across all relevant channels and formats

Creating and distributing various media materials, including press releases, statements, global announcements

Proactively positioning relevant content, news and people to ensure positive coverage for the company and its brands

Building and maintaining media relations, managing media inquiries

Organizing press events, incl. press conferences, media sessions, roundtables

Building and developing relations with key stakeholders

Close collaboration with the local & global Public Affairs team, aligning on communications activities

Scouting for speaking opportunities and event mapping to leverage company visibility

Media monitoring and reporting

Crisis Communications management

Collaborate with Marketing to ensure consistent, one-voice brand communication and 360 approach

Managing communications of ESG/CSR related topics

Coordinating activities with HQs, Local Team and Bus Partners

Your Profile – Ready to hop on board

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or similar

8+ years of experience in an communications/public relations role, meaning you manage press relations, regularly talk to journalists, pitch stories, write press releases, etc.

3+ years of experience leading PR teams

You have an innovative, 360 ree; strategic mindset but are at the same time,hands-on, understanding the bread & butter of business

Strong media contacts in the US and a good understanding of the media landscape

Experience in the new economy travel industry and/or scale-up is a plus

You can multitask, juggling several priorities at the same time and build a brand from scratch

Cool under pressure - you are able to effectively solve crisis situations
