Description:

Education:

Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy.

Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

Correctional experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

Physical Therapy license to practice

Current CPR Certification.

Responsibilities:

Develops and implements a rehabilitation program consistent with the physician's plan of treatment for patients.

Confers with physician and clinical team members to obtain additional patient information and assist in developing, implementing and revising the therapy treatment program and plan of treatment.

Instructs, motivates and assists patients in non-manual exercises.

Administers manual therapeutic exercise.

Maintains daily progress notes, correspondence with provider and The Company documentation procedures.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on the physical, psychosocial, safety and related criteria appropriate to the patients served.

Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.

Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.

Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.

Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.

Post orders, if applicable, per site contract.

Perform other duties as assigned.
