Whether it’s on Capitol Hill or in communities across America, we make our voices heard, changing the debate over environmental health and putting the most important people – you and your family – at the center of the conversation.

EWG is seeking a highly skilled senior product owner to join our dynamic team in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and enhancement of digital products that amplify our mission of protecting health and the environment.

As part of the Innovation team, you’ll work closely with the Chief Innovation Officer to enhance EWG’s reputation as a nonprofit that leverages digital transformation as the core principle to connect people to its mission.

What you will do:

Lead the ideation, development and delivery of innovative digital products to engage and educate our online audience.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers and developers, to define product vision, features and user stories.

Develop and maintain a product roadmap aligned with organizational goals and priorities.

Conduct market research and stay informed on industry trends to inform product strategy.

Define and prioritize product features based on user needs, analytics and stakeholder input.

Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring a clear understanding of product goals and requirements.

Work closely with the Digital and Marketing teams to drive user acquisition and conversion strategies.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a product owner, preferably in a digital or technology-focused environment.

Proven track record of successfully bringing digital products from concept to launch.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and user feedback to drive product decisions.

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with a diverse team.

Experience in Agile development methodologies.

Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality and user experience.

Comfortable managing multiple projects with varying complexities.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in a nonprofit or advocacy organization is a plus.

Location: Washington, D.C., office.

Benefits: Salary is commensurate with experience. EWG offers fully paid, excellent health care, paid parental leave and a tax-deferred 403(b) plan, including matched contributions. It’s a casual, growing office with more than70 engaging co-workers.
