Superior Duct Fabrication is looking for a Sr. Maintenance Technician to add to our growing team. Sr. Maintenance Technician-PLC ensures equipment uptime through timely, in-depth troubleshooting. The Sr. Maintenance Technician-PLC has strong working knowledge of all operating systems in the fabrication shop. Sr. Maintenance Technician-PLC performs troubleshooting and repair of facilities and auxiliary equipment and general maintenance of the building (s) and grounds. The Sr. Maintenance Technician-PLC works directly with Maintenance Technicians, machine Operators, Supervisors and Managers to resolve both electrical and mechanical issues. Sr. Maintenance Technician-PLC develops and implements best practices aligned with SDF’s maintenance strategies. Through the use of preventative and predictive maintenance processes, the Sr. Maintenance Technician-PLC champions continuous improvement efforts and assists with training in their focus areas.

This is a full-time Monday - Friday 5:30a.m. – 2:00p.m.(times may vary), non-exempt position, working out of our Pomona Warehouse. Some travel may be required as needed to our other facilities. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities:

· Fully committed to meet manufacturing goals, safety, quality and production.

· Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance on operating and material handling equipment,

· Overhaul and install new equipment.

· Rebuild, weld, and fabricate parts.

· Perform electrical and mechanical repairs throughout the facility, maintain working area clean and free of debris.

· Generate part requests to ensure adequate inventory.

· Complete all projects issued from work orders as assigned.

· Complete all required reporting and documentation promptly.

· Perform mechanical and maintenance related assistance (i.e., equipment set-up, repairs, construction, piping installation) as assigned.

· Report any equipment malfunction and unsafe practices immediately to supervisor on duty.

· Problem solver / someone who can prioritize their work.

· Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Minimum (5) years of experience as maintenance mechanic

· High School GED / Trade School preferred

· 1-5 years of industrial maintenance experience required

· Must know LO/TO

· Proficiency in multiple skill clusters, such as electrical controls, mechanical systems, welding, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.

· This person will perform medium to high-level machine systems troubleshooting and repair

· Previous experience within high-speed industrial environment

· Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge preferred

· Understanding of preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance methods

· Must be able to read and comprehend electrical diagrams schematics and blueprints

· Basic work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

· Must be able to read labels and numbers

· Available to work flexible, weekend hours due to production demand

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Professional Certifications (e.g., CMRP or HVAC certified) are preferredCompany Description
