Financial Controller

Job Title: Financial Controller (Group of Companies)

Location: Dubai, UAE.

Our client is a well-established company with a rich 75-year history of success across various sectors. They are part of a diverse group of companies with a strong presence in construction, oil and gas, retail, hospitality, healthcare, education, and related industries.

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Financial Controller to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health of a multi-company group, based within the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive financial leadership and oversight for a group of companies.

Develop and implement effective financial strategies, policies, and procedures.

Manage the entire financial reporting cycle for all group entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS or US GAAP).

Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements for the group.

Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, including accountants and analysts.

Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Manage and maintain strong relationships with external auditors.

Oversee internal controls and ensure adherence to best practices in financial risk management.

Identify and implement cost-saving measures to optimize financial performance.

Stay up-to-date on relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

CA (Chartered Accountant) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification is mandatory.

Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior financial management role, preferably within a group of companies.

Proven track record of successfully managing multi-entity financial operations.

Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).

In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Experience leading and motivating a team of finance professionals.

Proficient in financial accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.

A results-oriented and detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Fluency in English is required; Arabic fluency is an advantage.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: AED 25,000 - AED 35,000 per month (competitive and commensurate with experience)
