Key Responsibilities and Essential Tasks:

Under direct supervision employee has the ability to demonstrate the following competencies at the more advanced basic level including all competencies in the subordinate levels.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Material identification, jobsite housekeeping, tool & equipment use and general labor.

Digs trenches & excavations using hand tools and hand operated power equipment.

Underground conduit installation as directed by verbal instructions or field sketches.

Installs common devices, trim, boxes, fittings & wire as directed by verbal instructions or field sketches.

Able to mount, secure & install electrical raceways, fixtures & systems as directed by verbal instructions or field sketches.

Performs wire pulling procedures as directed by verbal instructions or field sketches.

Performs basic branch & feeder wire terminations.

Terminates panels and transformers under direct supervision with specific instructions.

Installs prefab assemblies.

Bends conduit (basic offsets, 90º bends & kicks) with hand benders.

Bend conduit using various power benders under direct supervision.

Basic conduit & box sizing per the NEC.

Assists in operation of cable pullers and feeders.

Performs all tasks in a timely manner and meets minimum production standards.

Reads and interprets NEC Chap 1-3 proficiently.

Abides by the company rules & policy & safety requirements and report all violations & incidents to immediate supervisor and safety manager.

Acceptable attendance

May be called upon to perform the duties of subordinate levels.

All other duties as assigned.
