The Bookkeeper reports to the Senior Accountant and is responsible for the day-to-day data management and data integrity of corporate AR transactions. Daily tasks consist of invoicing orders and processing credit memos. THE EVERYDAY VIEW

Generate and process accurate and timely customer invoices based on sales orders or agreements.

Review sales contracts and agreements to ensure proper billing and adherence to pricing and terms.

Monitor and track customer accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve discrepancies.

Conduct regular follow-ups with customers regarding outstanding invoices, statements, and payment reminders.

Respond promptly to customer inquiries related to billing, payment status, and account details.

Post customer payments accurately to the appropriate accounts, including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card payments.

Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies, working collaboratively with internal teams as needed.

Collaborate with the Sales team to address any billing or pricing issues and facilitate prompt dispute resolution.

Maintain organized and up-to-date records of customer interactions, payment history, and collection activities.

Prepare and submit regular accounts receivable reports and aging analysis to management.

Assist in the preparation and submission of financial reports, including month-end and year-end close processes.

Collaborate with the Senior Accountant to identify process improvements and enhance efficiency in the receivables process.

Participate in departmental meetings and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Be a team player and able to interact with all levels within the organization

Adhere to and enforce all applicable local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations

Potential for additional tasks and additional ad hoc analysis as neededRequirements:

Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application

Able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check

Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (minimum of 3 years accounting/finance)

Accounting software experience is required, SAP is a plus

Able to handle multiple tasks at one time efficiently

Self-motivating with the desire to implement and improve processes

Thorough attention to detail and ability to take the initiative

Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems

Strong interpersonal skills and a love for meeting and interacting with people

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to be active for prolonged periods

Able to work in an office environment and perform work at a desk for extended periods of time

Able to both work and thrive in a high-stress environment that has a quiet to moderate noise level

Able to read and follow written instructions

Able to safely navigate the tasting room and snack bar areas, including crowded spaces

Able to work in a factory/production environment that may be loud, slick, humid, cold, and hot

Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with moderate noise and occasionally slippery floors

Able to comply with and enforce all health, safety, and personal hygiene policies and standards
