Job Title: Carpenter, Painting/Trim

Location: Cobden, IL

Job Summary:

The Carpenter, Painting/Trim is based at the Cobden, IL manufacturing plant, with operations in the U.S. and has overall responsibility for constructing, assembling, and ensuring the quality of wooden structures through precise measurement, cutting, and assembly techniques, while adhering to safety and production standards and meeting customer specifications. This position reports directly to the Manager, Plant (or Supervisor, Plant) and does not have direct reports.

Job Responsibilities:

Installs and repairs molding and trim found on windows, doors, baseboards, mantels, and other ornamental pieces.

Demonstrates a thorough understanding of measurements and precision to ensure a seamless and aesthetic finish.

Reads, interprets, and follows complex blueprints and building plans.

Utilizes a variety of hand and power tools, such as squares, rules, and chisels.

Frequently works with materials such as wood, vinyl, fiberglass, and metal.

Fits and installs window frames and interior and exterior trim using a carpenter's level.

Finishes surfaces of woodwork buildings, using paint and hand tools.

Verifies trueness of structure with a carpenter's level.

Wears appropriate protective gear and ensures safety procedures are followed.

Adheres to safety protocols and maintains a clean workspace.

Assists in other duties within the carpentry manufacturing plant, including the following:

Erector/Siding.

Electrical.

Flooring.

Framing.

Press/Rafting

Ramps/Accessories.

Roofing.

Small Structures.

Trusses.

Vinyl.
