Job Summary:

The Mission Critical Sales Representative is essential for developing sales and building relationships within the Data Center industry. The ideal candidate will work as a remote employee from the Dallas/Fort Worth area but cover a wide geography, including the US and Canada, traveling to visit customers as needed. Internal and external coordination, communication, and collaboration are required with customers, peers, and Foster Fuels leadership. This individual will work with other mission-critical sales team members and management across all locations to ensure customer satisfaction regarding routine, emergency, and fuel quality-related services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Target multi-location customers within the Data Center and critical infrastructure industry.

Identify and contact prospective new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, email, social media, etc.

Manage the sales pipeline to capture and nurture new business

Operate as the first point of contact for customer accounts and take customer calls, negotiate contracts, prepare quotes and bids, respond to RFPs, and close deals.

Be available to take and proactively respond to after-hour/weekend customer emergency calls as part of a call rotation consisting of one week per quarter.

Develop relationships with new prospects and visit them to convert them into ordering customers.

Support peer team members by being a backup to them to support their clients.

Serves as a primary account manager consisting of end-to-end responsibility for project and customer needs

Willing to work outside of normal job focus when required, supporting emergency fuel service deployments and fuel quality initiatives.

Provide professional communications (in person and electronically, vocal and written) with customers, peers, partners, and leadership.

Assist with credit applications and collections for managed customers

Must use SalesForce effectively.

Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

Bachelor's Degree and/or minimum of 3 years of commercial sales experience, preferably in a critical environment industry (fuel, generator, data center, electrical, HVAC, property management, power generation)

Proven track record of growing a client base and sales.

Track record of overachieving sales quotas.

Strong customer service skills.

Maintains a professional appearance and upholds core company values.

Strong analytical and numerical ability.

Flexibility to travel as required up to 25% of the time.

Experience with proposals, quoting, and RFPs.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with employees, customers, and vendors.

Good organizational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.

A high degree of adaptability and the ability to work under tight deadlines with good organizational and professional demeanor and skills

Preferred Skills:

Previous experience in an organization using SalesForce.

Knowledge of the fuel industry and data center industry

Have or willing to get a Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Overtime hours as needed especially during emergency activations

Remote but most be located in the Dallas area

Up to 25% travel required
