Material Handler

Position Summary:

We are currently hiring Material Handlers on the 1st shift in a climate-controlled facility in Roseville, MI. The Material Handler will be responsible for operating a Hilo to load and unload trucks. Use of excel for inventory purposes and tracking.

Shift times for this position:

1st shift: 6:00am to 2:30pm must be open to working up until 4:30 when needed.

(Monday – Friday & day on Saturday)

Position Responsibilities:

Ensure that all routing paperwork, including shippers, receivers, invoices, and MSDS are sent to appropriate departments.

Follow up on deliveries by private carriers to ensure prompt service

Load/Unload material from trucks

Operate Powered Industrial Truck (stand-up and sit-down)

Deliver material to local customers

Minimum Requirements:

2 years’ experience in a shipping/warehousing setting

Computer experience in shipping/warehousing

Experience using stand-up and sit-down powered industrial truck

Must be able to meet all DOT requirements for commercial drivers

Knowledge of customs paperwork
