Job description

The primary role of the Corporate Pilot at Cornerstone Building Brands is to provide safe and efficient air transportation. Operational guidelines are outlined in the company’s Aviation Operations Manual, and this candidate must comply with mandatory FAA rules and regulations. Responsibilities include weather briefings, fuel planning, filing of flight plans, transportation logistics and ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew. This role is critical to Cornerstone Building Brands as it allows for efficient transportation of key decision makers conducting critical company business.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the safe and efficient conduct of assigned flights

Ensure that flight operations are conducted in accordance the CBB’s Aviation Operations Manual, CFR’s and company policies

Participates in the Aviation Department’s Safety Management System

Ensures that the aircraft is airworthy and registered, and all required documentation is onboard the aircraft

Checks weather NOTAMS where available. Completes an aircraft preflight inspection before each departure

Utilizes established Crew Resource Management (CRM) skills

Maintains a working knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the Pilot-in-Command (PIC)

Determines the aircraft weight and balance

Ensures databases are current and all flight planning requirements have been met

Assumes PIC duties, including control of the flight, in the event of PIC incapacitation

Additional duties may be delegated by the Chief Pilot to promote professional development and growth into the captain’s role

Leads in all aspects of personal appearance, dress and conduct to achieve the highest standards with regards to performance of job responsibilities

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required

3,000 Hours of total Flight Time, 2,000 hours of multi-engine, 1,000 hours of Turbo jet

Airline Transportation Pilot (ATP) Certificate and subject to insurance carrier underwriting approval

Second Class Medical required at a minimum

Must have a valid passport

Typed in Cessna Sovereign CE680 aircraft preferred

Must reside within 1 hour of Raleigh, NC or be willing to relocate to within 1 hour of Raleigh, NC
