WHAT YOU'LL DO

Physically prepare and execute the lighting design for productions assigned under supervision of Lighting Supervisor or Assistant Lighting Supervisor Including:

Lead and work alongside crews for hang and maintenance calls.

Program and operate lighting control board for performances, events, and technical rehearsals.

Maintain design during run of show.

Trouble shoot, and repair lighting equipment as needed.

Run and support events as needed and interact with clients in a courteous, professional, and constructive fashion.

MINIMUM/CORE REQUIREMENTS:

Three years of professional theatrical lighting experience or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

General knowledge of theatrical lighting equipment.

Basic electrical knowledge, including troubleshooting single phase, multi- and low voltage power systems.

Operation of ETC EOS family computer lighting consoles or comparable.

Operation of personnel lifts.

Operations of counterweight fly systems and basic stage rigging.

Operation of common portable and stationary power tools.

Knowledge of ETC Sensor AF dimming systems including ETC Concert software.

Basic knowledge of wired and wireless computer networking

Operation of automated lighting fixtures.

Communicate and collaborate in a positive manner with staff and visiting artists.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Climbing ladders, working in high places.

Working in confined spaces.

Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Ability to work standing for extended periods.

Ability to work seated for extended periods.

Ability to work kneeling for extended periods.

KEY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Perform maintenance on lighting equipment.

Program and operate lighting control board for performances and rehearsal.

Maintain lighting during run of performances.

Perform daily lights check during run.

Assist Lighting team on special projects and building special effects.

COMPUTER SKILLS UTILIZED-

Lightwright, Vectorworks CAD, Microsoft Office
