A5 PASTE MACHINE OPR 2nd Shift

Operates Pasting Machine.

Responsibilities

Operates pasting machine and dryer to apply a specified amount of lead oxide paste onto grids used in making storage battery plates.Oils and stacks grids in automatic feeding device.Using hand tools, adjusts guides on pasting machine to size of grids.Using hand tools, adjusts roller according to thickness specified for plate.Sets machine by attaching and adjusting squeegee, shoes, and hopper; puts grids into feeder to make adjustments for the grid size.Starts machine that automatically feeds grids between shoes.Each group of panels placed into the machine by the operator weighs approximately 20 pounds.Replaces excess paste into the hopper and works paste down into hopper.May need to use a hand truck.*Maintains regular attendance.*Ability to work mandatory over time.Performs other duties as requested by Management.Responsible for producing a high quality product.Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.Equal Opportunity Employer/VEVRAA.*These tasks are considered essential elements of the job.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED, READING REQUIREMENTS: Basic Reading, MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic Math (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying), COMPUTER SKILLS: Ability to interact with computer screens, REASONING SKILLS: Good decision making skills, MECHANICAL SKILLS: Hand Tools, OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS: Well Organized
