Position Summary
Purpose
Get trained in surveying Prior Art in the industry or the specific product domain for possible IP conflicts. Maintain database of all company-owned patents and work towards upkeep of the same while working under full supervision.
Duties & Responsibilities
Functions
ESSENTIAL
Train to conduct prior art searches, technology landscapes, competitive analysis, licensing studies, evidence of use studies
Explore information available from all sources, including journals, online published content, subscribed newsletters, etc. Train to conduct literature survey, Patent landscape analysis, etc.
Train to Identify the ways that management can preserve and protect Company intellectual property rights (copyrights, patents, trade secrets, trademarks, service marks, etc.) and train to handle relevant paperwork as necessary
Assist in monitoring the information available on the Internet, as well as through other public sources, to ensure that no unauthorized use of Company intellectual property is taking place
Understand and comply with the established project management processes.
NON-ESSENTIAL
Undertake any other trainings/duties of a reasonable nature as required by Management.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.
Reporting Relationship
Apprentice Trainee - Engineer will be reporting directly to Sr. Manager - Corporate Support
Qualifications
Qualifications
REQUIRED
Graduation /Post Graduation in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Robotics Engineering/Petroleum Engineering/ Mechatronics/ Automotive Engineering.
DESIRED
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.
Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
