CAD Engineer - Costing/ Sourcing

Description

VAVE cost saving, and Benchmark competitors cost data for all commodities.

Expertise in should cost Analysis

Calculate zero based costing for NPD commodities such as exterior and interior plastics and sheet metal

Discuss and Negotiate with the suppliers on Material cost,

Tooling cost & ED&T quotes throughout the design, development, and launch phases.

Track cost status daily and report out weekly.

Lead Trade Off discussion with CFT for cost changes.

Work with the supplier for Quote & with Cost estimation for estimates for engineering changes.

Lead cost approvals discussions in all cost related forums through CMFs till FDJ and CRFs/ Concerns from FDJ till MP1.

Maintain Change tracker from Program Start to J1 and report out.

Identify and recommend ways to optimize the cost of a system

Conduct cost/performance benchmarking and value analysis studies
