Taylor Hospitality is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Full Time Cook to join or culinary team at The Institute of Advanced Learning and Research. The ideal candidate will bring culinary passion, attention to detail, and a commitment to consistency in delivering exceptional dishes to our guests.

Line Cooks are responsible for providing our Guests a Gold Standard dining experience by producing delicious, high quality food through recipe execution and gold standard plating that highlights the exceptional quality of our food.

Compensation: $15.00-$16.00 per hour depending on experience

Responsibilities:

Set up cook station.

Prepare and execute menu items according to our recipes, presentation standards, and quality guidelines.

Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during service

Restock, clean, maintain and restock cook station items as needed throughout the shift, while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and organizational skills.

Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas, adhering to proper food storage procedures.

Keep track of and report all food that is wasted.

Assist in ingredient prep, portion control, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.

Contribute creative ideas for daily and seasonal specials.

Communicate effectively with fellow cooks and other team members.

Be able to adapt to high-pressure situations and busy service periods.

Review work procedures and operational problems in order to determine ways to improve service, performance and safety.

Ensure compliance with all Company policies and laws, including health and safety standards.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management staff.

Qualifications:

Experience as a line cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred.

Strong Culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques

Attention to detail in presentation, flavor & consistency

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented kitchen

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

Flexibility to work different shifts, including some weekends and evenings.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn with a passion for the culinary arts.
