General Labor – Day Shift – 4 Needed
Our client is in need of four General Labor candidates to start immediately on a DIRECT HIRE basis. The General Labor position requires attention to detail and leadership skills. The General Laborer ensures forms are clean, filled appropriately and documentation is accurate.
Hours: 6am to 2:30pm with possible OT
Pay: $17.91/hour
General Laborer Responsibilities:
Stage and fill forms in area
Follow SOP/SSOPs for designated areas
Understand and utilize cleaning practices such as COP tanks and portable foamers
Sanitize equipment, tools, presses, and forms during production hours
Follow appropriate chemical usages for designated cleaning equipment
Document vats to forms, record keeping of times such as brine time
Review Master Sanitation Schedules and document
Understand PLC and equipment handling
Handle panela forms such as flipping and dumping into brine system
Monitor brine system such as salt, PH, and temperature
Communicate safety and or quality concerns to management and appropriate staff
Strict adherence to GMPs
Strict adherence to safety/PPE protocols and procedures; report unsafe conditions to plant management
Accurate recordkeeping and specific paperwork
General Laborer Requirements:
Strong listening skills
Demonstrate initiative to complete tasks
Ability to work as a team with positive attitude and behaviors
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to read, understand and follow written procedures (SOPs)
Show flexibility in job roles, assisting teammates when needed
Ability to meet physical demands of role, including frequent bending, twisting, pushing, squatting, and repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required
Background check and drug screen required after accepting job offer
