Dispatch Supervisor

Essential Job Functions * Ensure execution of daily operations within the department * Review & audit drivers logs and inspections * Work closely with Safety & Compliance * Accountable for production, supervision and discipline of employees * Monitor and evaluate employees based on goals and standards * Enforce policy and procedure compliance * Coordinate with other departments within the company * Respond to & solve problems * Train employees on job specific duties * Make suggestions and show initiative for process improvements * Effectively communicate with drivers, clients, vendors and employees * Assist Operations Manager with planning and budget process.

* Other duties as assigned.

Other Skills & Abilities * Problem solving- identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner * Client Service- manages difficult client situations, responds promptly to client needs and welcome client feedback * Quality management-look for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.

Physical Requirements * Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components.

* Sitting for extended periods of time * Walking within the warehouse and inspecting freight * Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Education & Experience * High school diploma or GED Required * Four years industry experience required.

* Two years supervisory required.
