Wordpress Developer - PHP, WordPress, MySQL, Linux

Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a WordPress Developer with expertise in PHP, WordPress, MySQL, and Linux. The WordPress Developer will be responsible for back-end web development, front-end development, responsive web design, and web design. They will collaborate with the team to create and maintain WordPress websites, build custom themes and plugins, and ensure the websites are optimized for performance and security.

The ideal candidate will write well-designed software in Wordpress, PHP, and JavaScript and contribute to the bitWise eLearning product platform. This candidate will be able to test code and deploy to the cloud. Must be experienced in the complete software design and development lifecycle.

Troubleshoot and test core product software to ensure performance optimization

Qualifications

Expertise in PHP, WordPress, MySQL, and Linux

Strong knowledge of MySQL, database query optimizations, and performance

Strong knowledge of back-end web development and front-end development

Experience in responsive web design and web design

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React,js

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Understanding of SEO best practices

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

Good communication skills and attention to detail

Prior experience in eLearning platforms or educational technology is a plus

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
