Job Description

*After and during training, this position is on the road in and around the Boston, North Shore and Metro West areas.

We’re offering a rewarding career opportunity to join our Service Team as a Junior Service Technician and earn a $500 sign-on bonus. You’ll learn and earn here with comprehensive, paid training, and a stable, solid career where you ultimately control your own income.

In business for 100 years, Yale Appliance is a leading retailer featuring high-end home appliances with the best brands including Wolf, Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, JennAir, SubZero, Miele, Thermador, Bosch, Speed Queen, Beko, and more.

To succeed you must be motivated, ready to learn, mechanically inclined, like fixing things, enjoy driving, and up for a challenge. Come to us with some of the basics under your belt: at least 2 (two) years of electrical, electronics, robotics, HVAC/R, or plumbing experience is required, and we’ll teach you how to repair high-end home appliances and grow in your career here with us.

Our full benefit package includes health, vision, dental, 401k match, profit sharing, vacation time, sick time, life insurance, disability, annual reviews, quarterly bonus eligibility, clothing allowance, tools, FSA (flexible spending account), HSA (health savings account), and a $500 sign-on bonus! You’ll also receive a company van and card for gas right away, so your commuting costs are 100% covered.

Starting pay is $25.00 per hour, with the potential to earn a pay rate increase once you’re proficient in each specialization. There are 4 different specializations to learn during your first 2 years here at Yale and you’ll be rewarded for your hard work.

Typical anticipated earnings for a motivated Junior Service Technician here at Yale (based on experience):

1st year: $54,000+

2nd year: potential to earn up to $70,000+ with commission incentives

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm (in the service business, your end time may vary based on your day and where your last service call is). No on-call work, no nights, and only up to 8 Saturdays per year. Additional Saturdays and overtime are available but not required.

During training, we’ll teach you how to:

Diagnose and repair high-end home appliances.
