Summary

The Lead Group Clinician is responsible for facilitating daily group therapy in the Prep Academy Program and providing daily coordination of group curriculum and materials needed to facilitate group. Under direct supervision of the Prep Academy Clinical manager, this individual is also responsible for coordinating scheduling of Prep Academy Group Clinicians in conjunction with the Prep Academy Coordinators. Responsible for assisting the Clinical Manager in ensuring that daily clinical documentation. of group services is accurate and competed in a timely manner by all program staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Contributes to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for our clients, colleagues and community partners from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Integrates principles of Trauma Informed Care in all aspects of work. Is sensitive to the children’s culture and socioeconomic characteristics that delivers the best possible care to the youth and families served.

Along with the Clinical Manager, develops and implements Group programming as needed to create a therapeutically sound, educational, safe and nurturing environment for children, families, and staff.

Ensures treatment implementation and programming is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of SVFS.

Along with Clinical Manager, supports evidence-based programming by conducting staff trainings on the facilitating of group therapy, providing classroom modeling of the facilitation of group therapy, and developing curriculum.

Assists the Clinical Manager in monitoring, reviewing and ensuring compliance with as required by the agency and licensure and certification rules and requirements, and any other appropriate standards in clinical documentation (i.e., notes) and client/staff ratio standards.

Assists Group Clinicians in areas where needed; to include but not limited to, training on documentation, understanding child development, customer service efforts and new process implementations.

Provides day-to-day informal Feedback to the clinical manager in regard to the success or barriers of group facilitation.

Assists Program Director with community marketing efforts and sustaining essential relationships both internal and external to the Agency that foster program growth, as applicable.

Participate in the research and assist with grant writing for accountable services. Collaborates with Program Directors and outside grant funders regarding program needs.

Responsible for the verification and accuracy of Group Clinician timesheets, scheduling appropriate coverage in accordance with Medicaid BH Guidelines, filling in for Group Clinicians as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

•Ability to work and contribute as member of team.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

•Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/Counseling.

•Current Licensure in the State of Ohio (LSW/LISW or LPC/LPCC) is required.

•Rendering Provider number required based on level of licensure.

•National Provider Identification number required.

•Proficiency with MS Windows and Outlook

•Previous experience working with school-age and/or pre-school children preferred
