Specifications Manager

Job Description

This position requires specification calls, primarily on civil and mechanical engineers, as well as water and sewer municipal departments, landscape and golf course architects, large contractors, and other potential specification contacts in specific region. Duties will include building relationships with key specification contacts, provide education to architects, engineers and contractors on the present advantages of NDS products, obtaining specifications, and tracking projects. Individual will provide the Marketing department with product development information and coordinate specification efforts DSM and independent sales reps.

Responsibilities

Direct specification call and lunch and learn presentations focused on Civil Engineers, Golf and Landscape Architects, builders and large contractors.

Drive activities to increase the specification of NDS product for conversions and new projects

Create strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.

Pursue regional leads for the territory.

Develop regional construction project library.

Participate in local landscape architecture and engineering organizations.

Travel to various locations within the territory (50%-70% of the time)

High level of calls per week.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture or other relevant technical experience.

At least five years of experience as a Civil Engineer or Landscape Architect or other relevant field

Experience in storm water management is ideal, and in one or more of the drainage, waterworks, or plumbing industries is a plus.

Knowledge of storm water management, drainage, irrigation, waterworks or plumbing.

Excellent presentation, problem solving, and communication skills.

Good organizational skills and follow-up techniques.
