Job Description

Triumphant Transportation LLC is actively seeking full and part-time Delivery Drivers and Helpers for local and intrastate deliveries. The position will be based in Houston Texas. Under the direction of the Triumphant Transportation supervisor, the individuals will load, unload and delivery freight to our residential and commercial customers throughout Texas.

Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading equipment and supplies from the distribution center to various customers sites

• Operate a box truck in accordance with state and federal regulations

• Maintain all records required by DOT while operating the delivery vehicles

• Sort equipment and supplies at the distribution center

• Assist with the cleaning of the distribution center and with the disposal of pallets and other waste

• Work with the Triumphant Transportation Supervisor on cleaning and prepping equipment for delivery

• Responsible for delivering material to customer’s jobsites using the most efficient route available.

• Ensures that delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional service.

• Oversee the safety of cargo and unit to ensure it is properly secured and safe, verifying cargo is correct and in good condition and checking delivery documentation for accuracy

•Be a protector of company equipment and freight, keeping it safe from damage, theft or tampering

• Load freight onto the truck using a forklift and pallet jack, and utilize load locks, straps, covers, etc

• Oversee the reporting of any irregularities related to the pick-up and/or delivery of the cargo (i.e. damage, shortage, customer complaints, customer requests)

• Maintain radio contact or communication with dispatch office and promptly report all delays due to weather conditions, breakdowns, accidents or any other emergencies

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must possess the skills and abilities to be licensed to operate trucks up to 26,000 lbs.

• Ability to follow maps and or GPS to unfamiliar locations

• Operate a drop lift gate to load or unload equipment without damage

• Physically able to move equipment from truck to customer site

• Ability to lift equipment and deliveries up to 200 lbs. assisted

• Accurately pulls and stages materials to be picked up or delivered to ensure schedules are met

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to work alone with little direct supervision

• Have the ability to operate a hand truck and shoulder lifting straps

• Knowledge of working with DOT and OSHA

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Strong attention to detail

• Must successfully pass a Drug Screening

• Must have a clean motor vehicle report

• Must have a clean background

• Minimum of 1 year experienced at operating a 26 ft Box Type Truck
