Ticket Agent

Visa Roots is a Travel management company based in Kochi, Kerala. It provides ticketing, Travel insurance, and visa support services to its customers worldwide.

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Ticketing Officer who is willing to be part of our young and dynamic team. Please note that this is a full-time permanent role.

About the role :

Expert to use GDS Software (Amadeus, Galileo, Saber).

Well-versed in various areas of travel (domestic/international,/group/individual

etc.)

Maintain updated knowledge of all airline rules and regulations, as well as current events.

Must have an excellent relationship with Airlines.

Carry out all follow-up procedures pertaining to customer travel, i.e., reconfirmation, rescheduling and reissuing of air tickets.

Ability to present, persuade and communicate effectively.

Handling the BSP and GDS reporting with cancellation, refund, rescheduling and reissue of Air Tickets.

Research various destinations and packages.

Diagnose the clients’ specifications and suggest suitable services.

Maintain relationships with key persons.

Reach the revenue and profit targets.

Must have excellent Public Relations skills.

Ability to handle crisis.

Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage

Candidates with personal travel experience will be preferred.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communication

Marketing and lead generation skills

Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word and Excel)

Graduate with IATA Certification

Proven work experience as a travel consultant

Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
