WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION
Participate in all aspects of QA lifecycle. These include: QA estimating & planning, QA reporting & documentation, walkthroughs and inspections
Execution of integration, white box, functionality, regression, load, performance and acceptance testing on delivery timelines
Responsible for Defect management including the identification, reporting, tracking and triaging of defects using Jira and XRay for Jira
Monitor and implement improvements to the QA process
Research, recommend and administer QA tools
Work with the development team to help them to understand and reproduce issues
Intervene and call out issues when they pose a threat to project quality
Maintain documentation & results for the projects over which they have QA responsibility
Review Test cases/scenarios to make sure all requirements are covered
Fulfill all the roles of QA Specialist on projects where he/she is participating
Represent QA at interdepartmental meetings (e.g. strategy sessions, emergency conferences, etc.)
Support production deployments, when required
Share testing results to partners to enable them to make decisions regarding go/no go live
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
2 - 7 years experience with formal test methods and quality assurance programs in an internet/software development environment
Experience with thorough API testing using Postman
Some familiarity with testing using a proxying tool such as Charles or Fiddler
using and administering testing tools (eg Browser Stack, Selenium, etc)
excellence in the preparation and execution of formal test cases, scripts and scenarios
to test and verify against WCAG Accessibility standards using related testing tools
ability to prioritize, delegate, track and coordinate multiple tasks
with multiple web browsers and operating systems, and an understanding of their differences and issues
to examine application logs and familiarity with YAML, JSON and XML
ability to meet deadlines and deliver against ambitous schedule pressures
interpersonal skills
teammate; Collaborate effectively with the cross functional team
communication skills (written and verbal)
in working in agile or other sprint-based work process
displaying a penchant for detail and precision
demeanor towards work, environment and co-workers
