Regional Purchasing Leader

COGS are assisting a private equity firm who have holdings of 20 billion dollars, having acquired a wide range of energy infrastructure investments over the last 20 years, including but not limited to: Fossil Fuels (Natural Gas & Coal) & Renewable Energy (Solar & Hydropower) power plants.

As a result of recent and targeted company growth across the midwest and large Capital investment, they are looking to bring on a regional sourcing leader to look after several localised buyers and the purchasing of over 30 facilities across the MidWest region, with a spend responsibility of around 250MM.

They are looking for someone with a strong background in strategic sourcing within heavy industry (Mining, Manufacturing, Utilities, Construction etc...)

Key spend categories include Mechanical/Pressure Parts, Chemicals, MRO, CAPEX, Contractor Services, etc...

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred)

Over 10 years in Procurement, Indirect and Direct Categories preferred

A large spend with a heavy power/utility environment

Procurement leadership experience

Strong business/financial management skills and demonstrated track-record for meeting operational and financial goals.

Ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment with high excellence standards (Six Sigma preferred)
