Journeyman Software Engineer - Army

Venesco LLC is looking for a Journeyman Software Engineer. We are looking for a junior software engineer with experience/knowledge of modern software practices (agile, devsecops, test automation, microservices) to support the development and artifacts such as playbooks (agile, testing, requirements, etc.) and support the efforts of IPTs (agile acquisition, contracting, requirements, testing, etc.) Your Software engineering experience will be essential to this position. In this role you will design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns, and perform systems management and integration functions. Software cost estimation experience is a big plus.

In this role you will research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing applications. Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements. May design embedded systems software. Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

This is mostly remote position.

A Secret Clearance is required.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in an applicable field

One full academic year of graduate education in the specialized field; or, a bachelor's degree in a specialized field plus 2 years of applicable experience; or, a bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 3 years of specialized experience
