Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

JCS is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support agile software development project(s) in support of a US government client’s mission critical systems. In this role the ideal candidate will provide full-stack engineering in ways that promote the client’s systems development projects.

Position Requirements:

Ability to manage a portfolio of agile software development projects.

Must have a Top-Secret security clearance.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in software engineering related to front-end and back-end applications and/or data services to include:

Experience with full-stack engineering (defined as proficient in database development/integration as well as server and client application development/integration)

Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in software development such as but not limited to Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or others is required.

Candidates should also have experience with relevant frameworks, libraries, and tools related to the technology stack.

Additionally, familiarity with software development tools for version control (e.g., Git), continuous integration (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI), and issue tracking (e.g., JIRA) is necessary.

Experience deploying production enterprise applications.

Experience in large-scale, high-performance enterprise application development, deployment and solution architecture on complex heterogeneous environments.

Experience with automation and engineering tasks, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) implementation, Low-Code, No-Code, and security engineer tasks.

Experience in DevSecOps and cloud environments.

BS degree in Computer Science.

Experience modernizing legacy systems and migration to DoD Cloud.

Experience sustaining multiple applications utilizing traditional custom development, DevSecOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipeline (Software Factory), and Low Code Application Platforms (LCAP)/ Software as a Service (SaaS).

The technology landscape is constantly evolving, so candidate should demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and best practices.

Candidate should stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in software development to contribute effectively to their teams and projects.

Desired Requirements:

SAFe® Agilist certified, preferred.

ITIL certified, preferred.

Understanding of DevSecOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipeline (Software Factory), and Low Code Application Platforms (LCAP)/ Software as a Service (SaaS) industry best practice and applicable software development tools.
