Network Voice Engineer

Job Description

Seeking a collaborative and energetic candidate to work within the implementation arm of the Network Transport Architecture & Design team. This team is responsible for the effective design and implementation of new network technology, upgrades, integrations, acquisitions, and refreshes into global voice and data networks (LAN, MAN, WAN, Internet, Remote Access, VPNs, VOIP/IPT). The candidate will work side by side with a team of principal and lead network and voice architects to produce implementation plans and deliver the migration, integration, design, and analysis of new and existing network voice solutions. End results associated with this position are detailed design documents that provide technical guidance for transition and operations teams to use in deployment of new and enhanced telecommunications services. The objectives of this position are for the engineer to be able to develop voice/video/messaging system designs that shall enable cast members with the ability to communicate anytime, anywhere on any device. The ideal candidate has an equal balance of exploration, due diligence, project, and technical skills in order to successfully execute their role. The engineer thrives on organizing their tasks, objectives and with collaborating on findings and decisions.

Highlighted Responsibilities:

• Provide designs and overall design coordination functions to ensure delivery of quality, cost-effective end-user facing communications services based on business-driven requirements.

• Craft and deliver detailed design documents that provide technical guidance for transition and operations teams to use in deployment of new and enhanced telecommunications services.

• Perform detailed due diligence and investigative research of existing and/or newly acquired network topologies and architectures.

• Design, read, review and interpret architectural drawings of new and existing architectures to ensure comprehension.

• Participates in the research and recommendations of network technology, products, & services.

• Candidate must be familiar with physical layer requirements and fundamentals of network data and voice circuits, technologies, topologies, and feature sets.

• Hands-on delivery of project work and engineering efforts.

• Support the Architects, Project Managers and project teams in the overall delivery of project tasks and objectives to ensure project success. The candidate must have strong fundamental networking skills plus the knowledge and experience to work on a variety of complex initiatives as it relates to telecommunication services. As such, the candidate will work on a variety of projects and must be familiar with working in a matrixed environment (to include interaction and collaboration with 3rd party integrators/partners) and as a project team member
