Production Coordinator

Job Description

Robert half's client is seeking a Production Assistant to join their team. Operating within an Avid Media Composer environment, the Production Assistant will play a crucial role in providing frontline support for the facility's infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for media production and post-production workflows.

Responsibilities:

Monitor equipment and software functionality, including available Avid Nexis storage space.

Provide support for LTO recalls, archiving deliverables and original media, and managing LTO tapes.

Fulfill Air Check Clip Requests for Ad Sales.

Assist with occasional media ingest requests from tape source.

Support videotape duplication and serve as the primary backup for the encoding/duplication technician.

Assist with connectivity issues in a hybrid remote-work environment, including troubleshooting with Team Viewer, HP Teradici, and Editor stations on-site.

Knowledge of Telestream Vantage is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Working experience with common video file formats such as QuickTime, MXF, MP4, etc.

Basic understanding of video theory, production, and post-production workflows.

Practical experience in hardware, software, and workflow troubleshooting.

Solid understanding of the Windows environment; Apple knowledge is a plus.

Avid Media Composer knowledge is required; Adobe Premiere experience is a plus.

Ability to create files for screeners, VODs, and air checks.

Ability to learn and troubleshoot mission-critical hardware and software, including audio boards, TeamViewer, Telestream CaptionMaker, Telestream Switch, Adobe Media Encoder, etc.
