Detailed Job Description for Network Ops - Checkpoint, Firewall, WAF

ü The Web Application Firewall Expert will be responsible for ensuring the security and smooth operation of the Checkpoint Firewall and WAF infrastructure.

ü Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to integrate the WAF seamlessly into existing and/or new web application environments.

ü Hands-on experience on deploying, managing and upgrading Checkpoint Firewall and WAF on GCP VMs

ü Day-to-day network performance monitoring.

ü Provide Tier 1/2 support for the day-to-day running of the Network, Internet Services, Load-balancing and Checkpoint Firewall Services.

ü Deploy, maintain and troubleshoot Checkpoint WAF policies for new and existing web applications

ü Network troubleshooting and fault analysis; hardware troubleshooting and repair.

ü ability to perform penetration tests of systems/applications.

ü Practical skill/experience in developing Checkpoint WAF policies

ü Trouble ticket generation and response; carrier interface and escalations.

ü The Network Operations Engineer will offer Level 2 and Level 3 Network Support that includes operation and change management.

ü The professional will examine, evaluate and monitor the incoming network change requests.

ü Participate in a 24x7 call-out as per ROTA.

What You will bring

ü 5+ years overall experience in multiple cloud environments

ü Minimum 2-3 years Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience and in a client-facing role.

ü Responsible for ensuring the security and smooth operation of the WAF infrastructure
