Duties include:
Management, implementation, and reporting of the Bakery Unit Quality management systems such as FSSC 22000, ISO 9001.
Partner with the sales and product development teams to support the commercial objectives.
Support Technical Sales initiatives as required and support the continuous improvement of the customer and internal processes through collaboration with key stakeholders and best practice sharing.
Coordinate and support customer plant technical issues and trials of both current or new products and processes.
Conduct post-trial/project/product validation to verify that experimental/technical objectives were met.
Set priorities for troubleshooting customer and internal technical issues by advising and implementing technical solutions using effective technical knowledge and sound scientific principles.
Assume the liaison role, when necessary, between Customers, Sales, Operations and PD using the existing communication and development
Act as technical liaison person between the Bakery Unit and Operations on product and / or process specific projects. Also identify and initiate projects between Operations and the Bakery Unit to improve products and / processes
Facilitate required training as the subject matter expertRequirements:
BSc Food science degree or relevant qualification
5+ Years of technical and baking experience
Good understanding of the Fermentation proces
Ingredient knowledge and technical baking expertises
Plant Bakery process knowledge
Business processes and acumen
Project Management experience
Strong customer relationship management
Strong quality and food safety acumen*The role will require extensive travel.
