Detailed Job Description for Network Ops – Checkpoint + Cloud

The Web Application Firewall Expert will be responsible for ensuring the security and smooth operation of the Checkpoint Firewall and WAF infrastructure.

Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to integrate the WAF seamlessly into existing and/or new web application environments.

Hands-on experience on deploying, managing and upgrading Checkpoint Firewall and WAF on GCP VMs

Day-to-day network performance monitoring.

Provide Tier 1/2 support for the day-to-day running of the Network, Internet Services, Load-balancing and Checkpoint Firewall Services.

Deploy, maintain and troubleshoot Checkpoint WAF policies for new and existing web applications

Network troubleshooting and fault analysis; hardware troubleshooting and repair.

ability to perform penetration tests of systems/applications.

Practical skill/experience in developing Checkpoint WAF policies

Trouble ticket generation and response; carrier interface and escalations.

The Network Operations Engineer will offer Level 2 and Level 3 Network Support that includes operation and change management.

The professional will examine, evaluate and monitor the incoming network change requests.

Participate in a 24x7 call-out as per ROTA.

What You will bring

5+ years overall experience in multiple cloud environments

Minimum 2-3 years Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience and in a client-facing role.

Responsible for ensuring the security and smooth operation of the WAF infrastructure
