Job Summary:

As a Regulatory Logic Developer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring seamless regulatory compliance through our advanced Regulatory Content offerings. Your expertise will be instrumental in translating regulatory documents into machine-readable formats, bridging the gap between regulatory expectations and digital solutions. Beyond rule programming, your role is multifaceted – spanning the creation of comprehensive documentation to rigorous quality assurance testing, ensuring that our solutions not only meet but exceed industry standards.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Analysis & Design:

Analyze business requirements to design product solutions and features that seamlessly fit within the broader solution architecture, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.

Collaborate closely with regulatory experts to deliver clear scope and objectives, optimizing both business requirements and product goals.

Provide constructive feedback during business requirement reviews, ensuring optimal and sustainable solutions and addressing potential challenges on functional requirements, product designs, and/or schedules.

Consult with internal and external clients on new logic developments, enhancements and best practices to meet their business needs while following the product strategy, as well as the overall business strategy.

Convert business requirements into actionable production-ready solutions and executable rules.

Regulatory Logic Development:

Innovate and implement regulatory logic solutions, enhancing product scope, system performance and reliability.

Transform regulatory logic into machine-readable formats, ensuring seamless system integration.

Optimize existing solutions by identifying and eliminating risk and coding errors and through continual improvement, guaranteeing top-tier product quality and functionality.

Generate product deliverables out of the development environment as part of the product releases for our clients.

Set up and maintain development environment and artifacts as part of the release cycles.

Deliver consistently accurate and high-quality results, boosting the organization's credibility and client satisfaction.

Documentation:

Create and maintain thorough and clear internal and external documentation following SOPs, promoting consistency and clarity in processes and tools for regulatory logic development and delivery.

Deliver comprehensive customer-facing release documentation, enhancing customer experience and understanding.

Testing:

Define and lead rigorous developer, functional integration, and regressing testing for regulatory logic, ensuring product reliability, accuracy, and relevance.

Identify, document (using internal bug tracking systems), and address to resolution defects to promote a seamless user experience.

Uphold quality assurance standards, ensuring product excellence and trustworthiness.

Customer Support:

Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, leading to increased loyalty, positive feedback, and ease of attracting new business.

Deliver exceptional support when responding to technical and regulatory inquiries to both, internal and external clients, enhancing satisfaction and product adoption.

Continuous Improvement:

Continuously challenge the status quo to identify possible improvements.

Develop, implement and champion continuous enhancements in the rule development lifecycle, driving efficiency and excellence by streamlining processes and implementing best practices.

Collaboration:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with team members and peers from neighboring teams.

Actively engage with regulatory experts and developers of the same and other development disciplines to ensure product-wide alignment.

Following Agile Framework, actively engage in Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives, etc.), fostering a collaborative and transparent environment.

Foster a harmonious and efficient team environment, resulting in successful project outcomes and enhanced team synergy.

Effective Communication:

Facilitate and maintain open communication with stakeholders, to ensure alignment in goals and mutual understanding of regulatory logic developments.

Provide constructive feedback to help other 3E employees grow.

Skills Required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Work experience in the software development lifecycle including experience in software technologies and tools

Proficiency in SAP EHS – ideally work experience with 3E ERC and/or 3E Optimize for SAP

Proficiency in at least one programming language – ideally in SAP EHS Expert

Experience in working on IT projects or in an IT product support environment

Work experience with database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL, or Microsoft Access

Knowledge of database and query languages (e.g. SQL)

Proficiency in data analysis, data structures and database design

Experience in version control systems (preferably Git), debugging, and software testing

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications

Experience with customer support, such as analyzing of and responding to customer tickets

Analytical mindset and problem-solving skill.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
