Sr. Manager, Technical Business Management

Optomi, in partnership with a company in the truck transportation industry, is seeking a Sr. Manager, Technical Business Management! This Sr. TBM Manager will have a strong technology and financial management background to help operationalize and improve the Technology Business Management (TBM) solution designed to position executives with the knowledge to manage and communicate the cost, quality, and value of IT Services. The Sr. TBM Manager, Technology Business Management, will report to the IT Finance Director and work with a matrix organization leading a team of professionals to provide professional and consistent business planning and management services.

Experience of the right candidate:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related field; but preferably an MBA or graduate degree in business related field.

TBM Certificate

Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience.

Strong quantitative and analytical skills for financial modeling and analysis.

Requires broad experience in the financial services industry.

Strong to expert level skills and experience in formulaic logic such as MS Excel if statements, vlookup, pivot tables, macros, etc.

Knowledge and application of relational database concepts.

Good with data analytics and data mining. Excellent communication and presentation skills to executive management audiences.

Management experience.

Executive interactions.

Infrastructure background.

ITIL certified is a plus.

Must have financial experience - familiarity with Budgetary Planning and Cost Reporting.

Must have proven leadership experience - Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for gaining the cooperation and support of others.

Must have strong interpersonal relationships skills - Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Technology Business Management

Operationalize a Technology Business Management tool and discipline (preferably Apptio)

Business Facilitation

Operate as a regular member of the IT organization senior management teams.

Management Reporting

Ensure Business Administration support for TBM.

Develop management presentations in support of CIO, SVP, VP and senior management team members.

Business Communication

Business Planning

Familiarity with guidelines for capital vs operating expense.

Responsibilities of the right candidate:

Operationalize and Improve the Technology Business Management (TBM) solution.

Translate executive vision into technical requirements and subsequent deliverables.

Gather functional and business requirements and rapidly translate that information into a working set of operational and financial models, dashboards, and management reports.

Collaborate with IT Executives and Finance on IT Total Cost of Ownership, financial metrics, and cost transparency initiatives.

Import, transform, and rationalize data from systems of record such as General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Clarity, Service Now, HP ALM, VMware, BDNA, etc.

Operationalize data monthly by loading, validating, and reviewing on a timely basis.

Providing management benchmarking, reporting and analytics services for the Brinks Leadership Team.

Provide key findings for transformational opportunities.

Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing and IT Leaders to provide guidance on consolidation and standardization opportunities.

Lead communications for benchmarking performance, collaborating on plans to close the gap among the Brinks peer group.
